The Gwynedd Substance Misuse Action Team has taken a lead role in implementing the Welsh Assembly Government’s Strategic Plan for Substance Misuse. Amongst their initiatives is the promotion of the 'Don’t Touch, Tell' drug awareness programme in primary schools, the introduction of a sharps reporting system and the introduction of the ’Club Safe’ scheme at nightclubs in Gwynedd.
