Services in Denbighshire

Conwy and Denbighshire Substance Misuse Action Team (SMAT) are the group who are responsible for implementing the Welsh Assembly Government strategy for substance misuse (Working Together to Reduce Harm – The substance misuse strategy for Wales 2008-2018). The group meets regularly to discuss innovative ways of tackling substance misuse in response to the changing needs of local communities.

Some of the services that Conwy and Denbighshire SMAT commission to address substance misuse include:

  • Drop-in services including The Dewi Sant Centre and ARC Communities
  • Harm Reduction Services
  • Structured Treatment Services
  • Young Peoples Services
  • Training

The Conwy and Denbighshire SMAT is made up of the following members and representatives from the following organisations:
